The City of Victoria has established a family of neighbourhood communities, each geographically defined, as a means by which to reach out to its residents. The Rockland neighbourhood is one of twelve sibling communities and with a population count that places it among the smaller family members.
Established June 1993. Neighbours came together to oppose major rezoning applications in our area and looked for help from a community organization. We discovered this neighbourhood was unrepresented and Established the North Jubilee Neighbourhood Association.
The Vic West Food Security Collective is an action project resulting from the Victoria West Community Association 2003 Vision Project. The guiding principle of the Collective is community building.

Building community is at the core of our business. Not only are we creating a sense of community in our group prep sessions, but we give back to our community by filling the church freezer with meals for families in need.
YES has grown from an agency which was primarily focused on street entrenched youth to an agency which provides prevention, intervention, treatment and education for youth, their families/caregivers and the broader community.
