Join Paula and embark on the journey of slow food and the world of home crafted, artisan cheeses. Using products readily available, Paula demystifies the idea that cheese making is difficult with comprehensive instruction. You will also be shown some unique and creative ideas for serving the cheeses you will be making in these Taste, Touch, Feel demonstration classes! Please bring a container.
The Downtown Community Centre provides healthy choices for people wanting to connect more socially — and is open to everyone. Uniquely, all of Cool Aid’s programs are free, including equipment, transportation & supplies. Offerings vary and include sports, cooking classes, skills development and the arts. We teach hands on and demonstration style communal cooking classes, and with us you’ll will learn to cook shoulder to shoulder with one of our seasoned instructors. We focus on simple cooking skills that we believe are the foundation of simple and approachable cooking. Our goal is for everyone that learns to cook with to use their skills everyday to enrich their lives through making their own food, for themselves and their family and friends.
The Cabbage serves a free weekly hot meal to the campus community prepared from food ‘rescued’ from the waste stream of grocery stores. Find us on campus on Fridays at noon. BYOBowl.
